Obama To End NSA’s Mass Surveillance Program

As we know that NSA has a lot going on, protest from people and hundreds of accusations of spying, hacking, eavesdropping, and sneaking into people’s lives and threatened them with security. So to end these issues president Obama has proposed an end with a solution to put the mass surveillance to an end. Yes President has called an end to NSA’s bulk data collection of phone records of American people. A post has been revealed from White house in which he figured the plan, which will give phone companies to hold the records of their customers, if congress passes it. If any data will be required by NSA or any other intelligence they would have to take a court order from Foreign Intelligence Surveillance court to get the required data from any telecommunication company.

Cnet posted the details“Obama's proposal would end the Patriot Act's Section 215 bulk telephony metadata program. Details of that program and other NSA surveillance activities came to light after former NSA contractor Edward Snowden leaked a series of confidential documents. The resulting outcry among American citizens, privacy advocates, and many politicians in both parties forced Obama to direct the intelligence community and the Attorney General to come up with other options. The companies would be compelled by court order to provide technical assistance to ensure that the records can be queried and that results are transmitted to the government in a usable format and in a timely manner.

Now all left up to the Congress, because the law will only come into picture when Congress will passes it in parliament. This proposition proposed back in January now NSA wants to continue the program with reauthorization for 90 days. Recently NSA asked so many Internet companies to remove that data and they have shown entire requests to public.

Thiel has a point that he thinks, we are still passing through a time where people do not believes in Marketing and thinks that marketing is a bad thing. Rdio Acquires Dhingana Troubled Music Streaming Startup

The Troubled Music streaming Startup Dhingana from India is acquired by Rdio. It was announced that they will shutdown in February this year but now Rdio will own Dhingana, which was the biggest entertainment provider in India with over 1 million songs in 42 languages. The team at Dhingana took a breath with relax when they heard the acquisition and rest their fear hope employment. But companies doesn’t disclosed the terms and condition of the deal. With this acquisition Rdio has plans to launch in India adding more muscle to its global expansion that started last year and the founders Snehal and Swapnil Shinde will join the Rdio and help Rdio to launch in India. Dhingana was highly funded music startup in India and has got $7 million in series B funding last year from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Inventus partners and others.

Last Monday hackers attacked over 162,000 Wordpress powered Websites. With Some old trick they were able to perform a distributed-denial-of-service attack against another websites. The Wordpress is a Content Management System by which user can go right to the login page with login credentials and after verification of information—they redirect into Dashboard. Security Firm Securi said that these Hackers have exploited a well known flaw that allows an attack to be amplified by attaching unwary websites. They still don’t confirm that which site the victim but they confirms site went down for hours. With a massive attack websites admin and Web hosting provider is not aware, to prevent such attack but just restore the site and move on further not taking any precaution. There are several website still running on outdated versions of Wordpress so one must be updated in order to stop hacking.

One attacker can use thousands of popular and clean Wordpress sites to perform their DDOS attack, while being hidden in the shadows.”

Hacker altered a huge number of website and makes them attack on other website which is vulnerableto the DDoS attack; Hackers tear apart over 162,000 different and legitimate Wordpress site in just a course of hours. They have detected many sites but then decided to block request at the edges with firewall. This massive attack was made possible by just a tiny XML-RPC file, which giving a ping back.
