GreenCitizen Had Recycled 2.5 M pound And Aiming For More

As tech development the consumers purchasing the phones, tablets, laptops and other electronic goods, GreenCitizen is the e-waste recycling company based in Burlingame had submit a report in which it recycled the 2.5 million pound of e-waste which previously thrown to landfills. On the earth day they had celebrated company’s none successful year and showed the report and now they have a goal to achieve. They set the target of 3.1 million pound with the opening new recycling centers in several countries metropolitan area. It now aims to build more sustainable metropolitan model that will be generating Environment friendly air and will be helpful for business to reuse and recycle their own products. Founder of the company has a idea to develop the e-waste facility to handle the e-goods all around the world and after recycling they will put them for sale. He watched a documentary on illegally discarded the electronic items into lands and decided to find a solution.

Otherwise, companies are charged $100 per pickup or other heavy item fees. Customers can drop off batteries, CDs, cell phones, cables, cords, desktops, computer accessories, fax machines, light bulbs, printers, Styrofoam, stereo equipment and other items to the company’ eco-centers and eco-stations.”
Company head quartered in Burlingame and have about 20,000 square foot facility, putting the tracking numbers into the e-goods to ensure about where they dismantle and crushed, metals are reused and the waste will be destroyed. DoorDash Got $17.3 Million From Sequoia For On-Demand Delivery Services

The DoorDash is one of the prestigious On-demand food-delivery startups exited from past few years, company doing the business in the other filed also beyond food, recently DoorDash has announces a huge round funding from Sequoia Capital, it has great platform to go into the competition. The funding was around $17.3 million series funding led by Sequoia with other investors involved such as Khosla Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Pejman Mar Ventures and Ted Zagat from the Zagat Survey Fame. As the biggest investor Alfred Lin is joining the board of directors along side with the founder Stanley Tang, Andy Fang and Tony Xu. The funding is very useful for the firm now because firstly it was crowd funded and competitive food delivery space in the San Francisco Bay area because other companies have also raised money from investors and that makes the environment more competitive but that’s a lot of money for a company that operates only in Palo Alto, Mountain View and San Francisco.


Tech Crunch posted “For one thing, customers seem to love DoorDash — even in its limited launch area, the company has seen impressive growth. In 10 months making deliveries in the South Bay, it’s processed tens of millions of dollars in gross sales. And the company estimates that one in six households in the area has ordered from it.”

The thing that led Sequoia to invest that much money is the growth and consumer response and also they have seen a great opportunity into the company then just delivering then food. PTA Announced to Issue License to Telecom Companies

This time, news reports have revealed an exciting update associated with the telecommunication sector. This is because; PTA i.e. Pakistan Telecom Authority is now looking to issue licenses for both 3G and 4G spectrums to make the World Telecom Day 2014 as memorable. The authority will issue these licenses to large numbers of auction-winning CMOs i.e. Cellular Mobile Operators. 


Even the reports have highlighted in front of the public that authorities have requested the Secretariat of Prime Minister that Nawaz Sharif would chair the entire ceremony related to issue of license himself, which would took place at the Secretariat of Prime Minister. Until now, Telenor and Ufone, two telecommunication companies in between the four different auction-winning cell phone or mobile operators have submitted their respective dues or licensing fees on the date of announcement itself, while remaining two CMOs named as Mobilink and Zong cleared their dues before 15th of May.

Target Corp. Hired New CIO and Switched to Chip and PIN System



Target Corp. has recently hired a new CIO i.e. Chief Information Officer named Bob Derodes and simultaneously transferred its in-house payable cards into the highly secured chip and PIN system with the help of MasterCard Internationals. The company and its senior officials have planned for these two aforementioned new and effective steps in the attempt to avoid or check massive data breaches. 


Last year, since the broke in of cyber-criminals during the holiday season at this retail giant of Minneapolis, it has undergone significant changes in to its information security systems or information systems. Thus, since 5th of May, DeRodes started serving his new role to oversee enhancements related to digital safety within Target Corp. Before serving his role in Target Corp., he delivered his valuable services as advisor of Defense secretary and even in departments of Justice and Homeland Security.
