Electronic Waste Problem is Rising, Govt. Needs Better Policies

We Live in world, where everything goes in the trash, when human don’t use it anymore and same thing happen with the electronics and this is making the problem of pilling of large chunks of E-waste. The world needs more e-waste managements and recycling facility to refurbish the e-goods and expand the life span of the products. As the PC and Smartphone continue to grow, the problem will also go up. The devices are made up of plastic and metals, which are very toxic to our earth soil because the plastic is made by several chemicals and disposing the electronics in one way, harms the environment and also harm human health, could give skin disease and other to those people who has continually spent the time with such waste. A report from Indian Govt. Presented in Rajya Sabha say India produces about 400,000 tons of e-waste in 2010, with went up 140,000 tons in 2005. A huge amount comes from the television about 68%, and 27% by PC’s and Servers. Maharashtra leads the list with Mumbai, followed by Tamil Nadu and Delhi and Mumbai is the second largest producer of E-waste.

"The E-waste (Management and Handling) Rules were notified in 2011 and came into force in 2012," says Sohail. "However, not much has been done since then. Very few manufacturers have come forward to implement the provisions [and] take the responsibility of their products [at] end of life."  Published on a Site.

There are rules and regulation in the managements of such things, but the problem is companies and manufacturers and producers must comply with the rules and have to make proper facilities to take care of the e-waste problem. Previously the e-waste managements rule had come into picture in 2010 and instructed the producers to take care of all problems that their products are creating.
